ABOUT

Who Are We?
EcoWatch is a non-partisan student group that expands the environmental dialogue by organizing outreach events on campus, assisting with local, state, and national environmental campaigns, and participating in student lobbying in support of clean energy and environment legislation in Minnesota and beyond.

Recognized Campus Environmental Leader
As a leading environmental voice at one of the largest campuses in the country, we are consistently looked to as a trusted voice on environmental and sustainability issues. Some of the efforts we are currently involved in include: Energy Efficiency Student Alliance, Sustainable Legacy Coalition, and Student Sustainability Coalition.

Student Driven
All of the issues we examine and the events we host are selected, organized, and run by our members. Bring your passions and ideas to our table so they can shape our direction.

Broad Range of Student Members
EcoWatch isn’t just for environmental science majors. Students from a breadth of majors, such as studio art and comparative literature, are active in EcoWatch. Above: Marketing major Mikey Weitekamp helps set up a tent at an event to promote energy conservation.

Real Leadership Opportunities
EcoWatch is the place to try out and hone your leadership and organizing skills. With our members driving our direction, leadership opportunities, from event planning to media relations, abound every semester.
